Rest assure that being a lawyer doesn’t put us above the law. We, just like everyone else, are citizens of this country and follow the laws just as you do. If we don’t then we suffer the same consequences.

Just recently, Reema Nicki Bajaj, a lawyer of Sycamore, Ill. agreed to a three-year suspension for pleading guilty for prostitution and failure to disclose her job and other information on her bar application.

She had been going by a prostitution name of Nikita and been posted on websites such as AdultFriendFinder.com. Bajaj lied about a testimony claiming she never exchanged sex for money in September of 2012.

Overall, Bajaj lied about not disclosing the information of going by another name, Nikita, by not disclosing her employment as a prostitute, and by answering no to any possibly misconduct.
